The Childcare Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ages 6 weeks through preschool. The teacher promotes children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through age-appropriate activities and positive interactions while ensuring the health and safety of all children in their care.

• Full-time position (40 hours per week)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide daily care and supervision for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities that support child development.
• Create a positive, caring, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children at all times.
• Follow all daycare policies, procedures, and licensing requirements.
• Maintain accurate attendance, feeding, diapering, and developmental records as required.
• Observe and document children's growth, development, and milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily activities.
• Assist children with feeding, toileting, handwashing, and other personal care needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment.
• Monitor children's behavior and use positive guidance techniques to encourage appropriate social skills.
• Work collaboratively with the Daycare Director and other staff members to ensure high-quality care and programming.
• Participate in required training, professional development, and staff meetings.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow all health and safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education coursework preferred.
• Experience working with young children is preferred.
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to meet physical demands associated with caring for young children, including lifting, bending, and active supervision.
