Palmyra High School is seeking a paraprofessional.  Applicants must possess a strong understanding of the instructional needs of students and must work closely with other staff.

• Assist students with health and physical care as needed.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of standing, stooping, bending, lifting, and kneeling.  
• Assist in activities assigned by and under the direction of the teacher.
• Prepare and collect materials needed by the teacher in presenting a unit of work.
• Work with individual students or small groups on activities that have been assigned by the teacher.
• Assist students according to their individualized needs as directed by the teacher.
• Assist in managing the behavior of students.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times in the day, such as during lunch, arrival and departure times, or in school assemblies.
• Complete record keeping tasks as assigned by the teacher.
• Strongly consider candidates with at least 60 hours of undergraduate college hours.
