Palmyra Elementary school is seeking applicants for the position of Elementary School Counselor, grades PreK-4, for the 2026-2027 school year. Qualified candidates must hold, or be eligible for, Missouri certification in K-12 Guidance Counseling. Extra duty assignments are possible and could be available with this position. The counselor will be responsible for implementing the guidance curriculum, meet with individual students and groups, work with staff to create plans for student success, contact parents when necessary, manage and administer the MAP test in grades 3-4, manage our PAWS Pack program, communicate with and provide support to the Principal as needed, promote positive relations within and between buildings, complies with the privacy rights of students and safeguards confidential and/or sensitive information, carry out all other duties as assigned.
